What Is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy helps people recover physical function and perform daily tasks more safely and independently. At OrthoLA, our occupational therapists specialize in treating upper extremity conditions—including the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

This type of therapy is especially helpful after hand surgery, fractures, repetitive motion injuries, nerve conditions, or arthritis. We offer individualized plans that may include manual therapy, custom splints, mobility exercises, and home-based care techniques.

All of our occupational therapists bring advanced training, years of hands-on experience, and a caring approach to patient recovery. Several are certified hand therapists (CHTs), which means they’ve completed rigorous specialization in upper extremity rehabilitation.
